Jarosław Koziara ­– born in 1967 in Jędrzejów, visual artist, involved in many types of visual arts, educator and publicist. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He has designed and created dozens of theatrical and concert stage designs ­– from puppet theatres to the Grand Theatre in Warsaw, through monumental concert and television stages and large outdoor events. He has completed several hundred graphic designs: album and book covers, posters, logotypes, as well as entire visual identity systems. He has realised several dozen happenings, performances, exhibitions in galleries and public space in Poland, France, Belgium, Germany, Ukraine, Czechoslovakia, Israel and Japan. He has collaborated with many cultural institutions, in Lublin alone with: NN Theatre, Culture Centre, City Hall, Marshal’s Office, Provisorium Theatre, Invitro Stage, H.Ch. Andersen Theatre, Culture Workshops, Kont Gallery, Lublin Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, Biała Gallery. Almost from the very beginning of the establishment of the WOŚP, he has cooperated with Jurek Owsiak by designing television sets for the orchestra’s finals. Since 1990, he has created the visual image of the band Voo Voo. He has led art workshops for the disabled and for children. Since 2000, he has been involved in land-art, creating monumental paintings ploughed into the ground. He is the artistic director and co-founder of the International Land Art Festival. In 2018, he received his doctorate in art by defending his thesis ‘Land-art at the airport – everything is one’. He has received many awards and nominations for his work. He is the owner of the TARARARA publishing house.
